Valentine’s Dinner

Since babysitting’s at a premium, everything would be crowded, and we like to cook, we stayed in for Valentine’s Day. Bleu cheese encrusted filet mignon with port wine sauce, cheesy new potatoes, and Paula Deen’s pineapple cake with butter rum glaze. It was one of the greater culinary triumphs of our marriage.

(Melissa’s note: Jake didn’t mention the sushi we had as an appetizer…. sushi….. aren’t you proud of him?)

  1. hmmm…that looks so goodI look forward to the days of enjoying red wine with dinner again.

  2. Anything that requires two forks to eat is definitely blog-worthy.
