While the Dads are Away…

The Syvertsens invited us for a day trip to Kutna Hora.
The area is best know for one of the CR’s more, uh… unique attractions, but the little town is a lovely place to peruse.

St. Barbara’s Cathedral– check out those flying buttresses!

She stood outside a shop called ‘Spiral Ceramics.’ I loved her.

Random Find of the Day: a store full of camo and all things military.
AKA- Boy Heaven

My favorite shots of the day.

Thanks for the fun day, friends!

Art Club!

Our sweet friend Laira is hosting an art club on Thursdays– we meet at her flat then walk to a nearby park for some big, outdoor creativity.
If you know me, you’ll understand why I think I’ve enjoyed it even more than the kids!

Balloon painting. Tempra + water + balloons = colorful streams of fun.

Chalk painting. We were certain the Prague police were going to shut us down.
[I wish I had pictures of the stuff the kids drew– the colors were so opaque & vibrant– not chalky at all!]

Abundant Blessing

We received a special treat in the mail last week.
A class of 3- and 4-year-olds at Grace Church in Harrisburg, NC faithfully pray for us, and sent the boys a sweet package of goodies. It felt like Christmas!

Thanks to Matthew, Khany, Daniel, Caleb & the Weldons for loving us so well!

Happy Birthday Gaffer!

Today is Gaffer’s birthday! We wish we were there to eat barbeque with you! (We’ll try to find some here by Christmas.)

On a personal note, I would like to thank my dad for being exactly 30 years older than me, so I always know exactly how old he is. (I.e. next year is a big one for both of us. Ahem.)
